I just wanted to post a quick note to assure everyone that I am, in fact, still alive and posting and biking. I took a tiny break in Quebec for the holidays, so I sort of put the blog and biking on temporary hold at that time, but I am back in Chile and looking forward to a visit to a winery in the next week or so… and then another crossing of the Andes! Uh oh.
Also, I’ve been negligent about replying to comments, but a big “Thank You” to everyone who leaves a comment and I do read all of them!

Your pictures are so fun to see. Kind of makes me wish I was pre-kids again. Guess I have to wait til I am post-kids! I just watched the Motorcyle Diaries and thought of you the whole time. Safe travels. You are going to be the coolest Grandma on the block(blog?) someday!

Hey Malena,
You still posting to your site?
Malena loves candy. And travel. And both together. And thus, this site was born.

Aloha Malena
I caught your wonderful SE Asia adventure on crazyguy, and have read this one as well looking for the next little bit of insight from such a well traveled lady. I too have an affinity for sweets and make it a point to try as many as I can when I travel.
I will be leaving on my own adventure in June , If i come across any places you have not been that offer decedent delights I’ll give you a heads up.
I am am a Bicycle mechanic by trade and was glad to read you didn’t give into the few who were skeptical about your Asia bike purchase, In my mind you did exactly right thing, you bought a bike made for the area, Cheap and easy to fix.
Keep the rubber side down
Aloha Aaron
