I didn’t spend much time in Jordan: just a few days in Amman, Jerash, Wadi Rum, and Petra - and an afternoon bounding around at the Dead Sea! Still, Jordan has some absolutely beautiful landscapes with many of the major travelers’ spots being perfect for day hikes. I really enjoyed my time there: bushwacking through deserts, sliding down sand dunes, and exploring ancient cities. A bit expensive and the people aren’t as nice as Syria, but a very easy to visit country with a lot of photo highlights. Jerash:

As I said before: beautiful landscapes! Kate and I had some adventures in Jordan, as well: hitchhiking home from the Dead Sea, nearly getting lost on a desert mountain overnight during sunset, and catching a ride in a creaky, falling-apart taxi. Oh, and I had some delicious cheese and honey based sweets (to be featured in a future “Random Candy” update.)

Wow, beautiful! Was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade filmed there?
Are you going to Africa at all? My cousin just move to Kilgali, Rwanda with her husband (she is about Kelemen’s age)
Reagan will love these pictures, he wants to go to the desert.
